Big boy bed

It was time for Jamison to get a big boy bed, as he had way outgrown his toddler bed.  And by big bed, I mean a big Queen size bed.  Just what every 3 year old needs, right??  Well--that's what worked best and easiest for us (Mom and Dad upgraded their mattresses and he got theirs).

But boy oh boy, this kid was SO excited.  I heard him say Big Boy Bed 8,324 times as we were putting it together!!

I think the pics show off how excited he was as well!!

How did he get so big??  For the first time, we do not have any cribs or toddler beds up in this house.  First time in 5 1/2 years.  Plus Raegan is doing great on the potty training front, so we aren't having to change many diapers these days either.  All my babies are growing up....  I don't know how I feel about this!!

Happy Halloween

Best lookin football player and two cheerleaders I've seen!!

This year we were low key on Halloween again.  We did the Downtown hoedown at church and the Fall Festival at daycare church the Sunday before, so we had plenty of treats!  Mom dodged trick or treating one last year, as next year it is inevitable.  This year we went and had ice cream for Great Grandma Kingsley's birthday instead!

Aunt Julie visits!!

We had been missing Aunt Julie like crazy! So glad she came in for a visit!!! She enjoyed a lot of entertainment and even got to catch a football game with us!! Thanks Aunt Julie---come back soon!!

The favorite part of our game is getting to go run on the field afterwards!  This also means that we have to make it through the entire game so that we can stay for that part.  The second favorite part is watching the band before the game and watching them run on the field, so we usually come early and stay late!  In all honesty, the kids don't whine or complain, and do a great job of sitting in a 2 foot by 6 foot space for 3+ hours!  I did find out though, that Jamison's football game experience MUST include a hot dog!  He expects it!!

A few other post game pics:

Hip hip hooray!!!

Great things happening with the Nerio kids! Brooklyn has been doing great at school and has gotten many positive actions including getting recognized at the end of month assembly at school! Jamison was so brave getting his tubes in his ears and putting his drops in after! And Raegan has been doing a great job being a big girl and potty training!!! We had to celebrate with ice cream!!!

Poor Little Guy!

Jamison's first set of tubes had recently fallen out, and to our surprise the doctor thought that he needed them in again. He had some thick fluid hanging out in there and we wanted to make sure that his hearing wasn't being affected.

We had to be at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning which was fine with us! We didn't want to have to dodge his morning milk that he requests daily as soon as he wakes up for very long! We had warned him the night before, and he understood there would be no milk, but it worked great to wake up and head out the door! A little after our arrival they gave him some goofy juice to make him sleepy and not nervous. This boy got hilarious!!! Almost like he was drunk!! He was making faces, and would go from sleepy to hilarious in .5! He was so brave and polite, all the nurses complemented on what a good boy he was! We were so proud! The nurse came to get him and wheeled him off in the bed, and he was grinning ear to ear!

The procedure was very short and doctor came out to talk with us about twenty minutes later. He said he did great!!! We were able to go back to recovery a few minutes later. He was already waking up and just very sleepy! Still not a single whine or tear!! We were then able to head to a room to wait to be discharged. That is where things went downhill. I think he was either nauseous from the anesthesia or maybe from having the fluid removed an his ears might have made him feel off balance. Either way, it got to him, and he in turn got daddy (threw up on him). We were still able to be discharged, but the sickness didn't stop. A few more times getting sick, including in the car on the way home, a few naps later, and he still wasn't able to keep a sip of water or any Tylenol down. We gave him a little bit of anti nausea medicine around 4:00, and he finally turned the corner! After that he was able to drink, keep down some apple sauce, and by the time dinner rolled around he was back to his normal self!

Although it was a long day for him, he did GREAT!!!! So proud of how brave he was and how big he was!!!

Donuts!

Daddy was out of town at a football game, and mom had some errands to run. Mom thought maybe we should start the morning with a donut to see if a little sugar would get us going. And this was strictly for the kids as mom isn't even allowed to have donuts. Let me tell you, this is true love to take your kids to a donut shop, and sit and smell the donuts, and not be able to eat one. I had been wanting to take the kids to this donut shop that makes some super cute decorated donuts! It was a fun way to start our Saturday!

Football game

Just a few pics from the last football game.
A few are from before the game as the kids were in between Jupiter Jumps, a few are from the game.

Silly kids

I thought I would do a little photo dump from my phone... Here are a few crazy cute pics of Raegan and Jamison!

Makeover

We recently did a little upgrade to our landscaping outside! In that, I mean, hired someone to do it, not do it ourselves :). I think it turned out great! So glad we finally got it done! Now if we can just keep the weeds out!
