Now he is on the move more than ever!
These videos are just a little proof that the little guy is doing better than ever! Although he doesn't have much desire to venture out on his own yet, he will chase you down and run you over!!
I am sure it will be no time before we are having to chase him down!!

Jamison's Big Day
Friday was Jamisons big day of surgery. We had to be at the hospital at 6:15am. That really isn't that bad, except we usually get up around 5:30 and Jamison must have his morning cup of Milk! And of course he could not have anything to eat or drink. Brooklyn spent the night with Grandma Mary and Papa Vince so that she wouldn't have to be involved in the early morning chaos!
We made it to the hospital, got all checked in, and sported a cute gown which Jamison was not a fan of. The nurses came in and did all they needed to do and we met with the Dr. to go over the procedure again. About that time Jamison remembered that he was hungry, and he was getting tired, so we got the cranky J-man for a few minutes. But when the nurses came to get him, he went off like a champ, with binky and blanket in hand, but no tears. That made it much easier on Mommy (and Daddy!). So luckily there were no tears on their part either :).
About a half hour later the Dr. came out and said everything went great. Tubes in both ears, and adenoids (which ended up being infected) out. And about ten minutes later we called back to see the little man. And unfortunately not a very happy little man. He was having some sugar water which he was gulping down fastly, and wanted more!! badly!! So between being hungry, tired, probalby nauseated, maybe a headache and some pain, our little guy who is normally happy was NOT HAVING IT AT ALL! We went through about 15-20 minutes of a little boy who would not calm down. Both Chris and I tried everything, but finally the nurse had to give him something to calm him down and to help him with the pain. Finally he calmed down, and we were shortly off to a room to be monitored until it was time to go home.
Jamison finally took a couple of cat-naps even though we could tell he wasn't real comfortable.
Here are a few pics of him just before we went home....he looks like a pretty tough guy if you ask me!!

We made it home at 9:47 Am, yes an exact time, the exact time I bet Chris we would be home!! It was then time for some cuddle/nap time with Mommy. And two three-hour naps later he was a brand new man and feeling good! He ate dinner good Friday night, and was his normal silly self on Saturday.
Sunday he was his normal silly self times two!! He was babbling away more than ever!! Here are Brooklyn and Jamison enjoying breakfast Sunday morning in the living room on the picnic table!

I don't have a picture, but shortly after this Jamison was climbing on top of the table, so we assumed he was feeling A-OK!

Overall we had a great outcome!! No fever, no problems, and we have a little boy who seems happier already! What a relief!! So glad our little guy is so tough and that we had so many prayers coming his way!!

Back to reality-what a week!
Well as much as I would like to go on about our vacation we were hit with reality the minute we pulled in our driveway. Literally-we came home to a wet driveway from some sort of water leak underground. And of course, it was from our pipes, not the cities! So, Monday we had two different plumbers come out, and found one that could fix it on Tuesday. Luckily it wasn't a terrible leak, so hopefully our water bill won't be too outrageous! Tuesday two guys came out and fixed our plumbing problems. Luckily they were able to do all of the work without having to tear up our driveway! Whew!!
Wednesday we took Jamison to the ear nose and throat Dr. We did a hearing test which they estimated he had a 40% hearing loss (not permanent), and the dr quickly concluded that he would really benefit from having tubes in his ears, as well as his adenoids out. I am thinking-ok, my baby needs surgery-but it will be fine-- THEN he says-do you want to do it on Friday. Hello-that is in two days-but yes, we will do it on Friday! Might as well get it over with, and if he needs it, then we need to do it!
Thursday it was Mom's turn to go to the Dr. Everything looks good as far as baby Nerio goes-and on target for a July delivery sometime. I go back to the Dr. weekly now, so hopefully we will see some progress!
Friday was Jamison's big day. I think I will save this for a post of its own.
Overall-this was quite a week! All in all-as stepped on as I felt all week, everything could have been a lot worse!! We got off quite lucky if you think about it! And so I am thankful for that!!

Vacation Wrap Up: Favorite Pics
These were all taken the morning before we left. And boy-we did not want to leave! Brooklyn said over and over that she wanted to stay there! These pictures just represent some of my favorite of the many we took!
The Nerio's

This is such a sweet picture! Mere and Brooklyn spent quite a while down at the dock together that morning. They were counting boats, and who knows what else they were talking about! But from my point of view it seemed so sweet!
I think Mere would agree that this picture probably best represents what was said that morning in their conversation! WHY, WHY, WHY! I am sure Mere won't be able to get that word out of her head for quite some time! It is Brooklyn's favorite word!!

Mere, Brooklyn, and Jamison, what a great group!
Giving our feet one last dip in the lake!
What a great vacation!
This was Father's Day also! So Happy Father's Day to the BEST DADDY IN THE WORLD!! What a great way to spend Father's Day-as a family! And not to mention a four hour car ride with the family! Either way we love our daddy! I am so grateful to have the best husband and father for my kids! And even thought they may not realize it right now, our kids are so lucky to have the best Daddy in the World!
WE LOVE YOU DADDY!
Vacation: Brooklyn's Point of View
We may have a future photographer on our hands! Brooklyn wanted to take some pics while we were on vacation, so I thought I would share some of her highlights as we look at vacation from her angle!
Boating trip with the girls.

She wanted to take a picture of the baby in mommy's belly...

Captain Mere keeping the ride smooth for us!

And this may be her "go to pose", what she may be rich and famous for some day. These are Brooklyn original self photos. One for every day we were there I think! :)

Vacay Part 5: Last Days of Fun
So hot that Brooklyn needed an ICEY when she got back!--Leaving her with a BLUE tongue!
Daddy the grill master!
And some yummy treats to celebrate our last night:
Brooklyns first S'MORE... She said it was YUMMY YUMMY! Mommy says it was MESSY MESSY-Just the way it should be!
And Jamison got to cool down with an Icey of his own!
Vacay Part 4: More boating fun
Brooklyn went out on the boat a few more times. The second time Mommy got to join for a "girls trip". Don't worry-it was a smooth ride with no big bumps to try to put me into labor! Brooklyn was much more comfortable and had fun and was a little more relaxed!!
