Summer was coming to an end quickly, but we had to get one last special night in!
Since it finally cooled down (only 95 instead of 115), we headed up to Bartlesville to their Kiddie Park. It is basically an amusement park--toddler style! This was our first time going, so we didn't really know what to expect, but had heard good things! And it turned out to be perfect!
We started out driving the boats...
Then it was off to the turtle ride. Notice that Raegan chose not to ride the boats--she of course got shy and didn't want to go. We got her to ride the turtle ride, since Daddy was going too. And although she looks happy in the picture below--the terrified crying started about 27 seconds started after the pic was taken!
Then it was off to the races....
And next was a little cruise...
A quick photo opp.
Then the much awaited Ferris Wheel! (Jamison and Brooklyn are in the green one)
I love Jamison's face in the next two pics!!
Time for take-off!
Brooklyn kept turning around to find Jamison who was a few planes back--she is such a good sister and was wanting to make sure he was ok!
And he was just fine!
Daddy and the best little spectator of the night!
This was one of my favorite parts of the night! The sun had gone down, the lights were shining, and it was time for COTTON CANDY!!!!
With a little sugar in us, we were ready for a family ride on the Carousel!
Then another plane ride.
The swings were next to the planes and Raegan agreed to give them a try. Notice--she looks fine in the picture. The terrified crying started about 19 seconds after the ride started. The crying continued for the next 1:51 of the ride! HA! Atleast she gave it a try!!!
This was ABSOLUTELY my favorite part of the night!! Right before this pic, Brooklyn turned to me and said "Mom-thanks for bringing us here, it is so much fun!" Melt my heart--how sweet! Then the two of them just sat on the bench tired as can be watching the other rides while we waited for our train ride!
After our train ride these two took one last plane ride, and then it was time to head home!
We had a great night!! We were tired to say the least! The park doesn't open until 7:00, and we were there until it closed at 10:00! Way past our 8:00 bedtime. But there were no meltdowns, no whining, nothing--just a fun family night!!!!
What a great way to end the summer!!!!
