This little guy....

IS WALKING!!!

He took five or so steps the night before Raegan was born when Aunt Julie was here. Since then he has slowly gotten braver and braver.... and now is going room to room!

He is unstoppable now!!! I hope to capture more action shots soon!!

One month

Yes, Raegan is just as surprised as you are!! She is one month old....

Raegan still has quite a bit of dark hair, kind of long in the back a little! She has a dimple on her left cheek that you can see in the last picture. And her eyes although very dark, look to have a slight blue tint to them, almost a slate color. It will be interesting to see what color they turn out to be!

Raegan is still trying to figure out how to sleep, and how to try to put herself to sleep. She just gets very very angry when she is tired for now. We are still working on getting any sort of routine, and working on sleeping in her bed, instead of on mom or in her swing or car seat. It will take some time, but as we aproach six weeks old, we hope to have a better system down!

What a fun, crazy, happy, frustrating, trying, chaotic, busy, and blessed month it has been! Oh yeah, sleepless, did I mention sleepless too? Here is to many many more (well not the sleepless part)!!!

My #1 helper!!!

This is my BIGGEST helper!!! I honestly don't know what I would do without her.... Poor girl---do this, do that, can you get me a diaper, can you get me the wipes, can you get me that burp rag, where is Jamison, what is Jamison doing, go close this door or that door, hand me the remote---she has done it ALL!! She is the best big sister I could ask for for Jamison and Raegan. Not only does she do this, she gives them hugs and kisses, tells them it will all be ok when they are upset, and looks after them! Mommy couldn't do it without her!!!

Back-up has arrived!!

Just when mom was about to go bazerk...back up arrived, and not just any back up---our UNCLES from IOWA!!!

Uncle Jonny, Uncle Jeffy, and Kate (Jon's girlfriend) braved a trip to Tulsa for the weekend, and boy are we glad they did!!!

We played candyland, memory, did puzzles, went swimming, played whatever other made up games Brooklyn wanted, Brooklyn got to play on their cell phones, they picked up and cuddled with Jamison (again Jamison looking for anyone to pick him up, and he will CUDDLE with anyone!!) and even cooked so mom wouldn't have to, went to the grocery store so mom wouldn't have to, Jonny did the dishes, and we went and got ice cream! What a weekend!!!

They wore us out!! Really they did, Brooklyn actually took a nap that afternoon....
And Jamison just couldn't make it through dinner he was so pooped!!

What a fun fun weekend!! We hope they come back soon!

My view...

This is my view from the front of the van! What a good group to haul around!! I love turning around and looking at them staring at me, and every time good ol' Jamison gives me a smile! I love that!! So thankful I have the mighty fine mini van to haul these troops around in!!

Mom has a great friend at work, Jil Gaylor, who was so gracious to come over to the house to take pictures of Raegan and her big sister and big brother, and us as a new family of five. If you couldn't tell by the number of pictures I now have plastered all over the blog, I am IN LOVE WITH THEM!!! She did a great job, and I just can't get over how cute these little guys are!!

Here is one of my favorites of Raegan....

Blankets

Brooklyn and Jamison have the same baby blanket in different colors---Brooklyn in Pink and Jamison in Blue... so now to find one for Raegan. I spend many hours before the baby was born looking for a Yellow or Green one that I liked...but didn't get it done. So once Raegan was born, knowing it was a girl, it only took about 10 minutes to find a purple one! Don't ask me why it was so important, but it was! So now mom is happy!

Now to fill you in on Raegan's name.



Raegan was a name we liked when we had Brooklyn as well. I think this was one of Chris' suggestions. We liked it so much we held onto it for three years. The hardest part was deciding how to spell it. If we should go with Raegan or Reagan. We decided to go with Raegan, as I researched the name and those who spelled it Reagon often got called REEgan. I didn't want that, so now she will just have her name mis-spelled all her life. I ofter start to type it wrong even! But it is Raegan on her birth certificate and that is how it will stay! And I like it!



Ann- Ann is a very popular middle name in my (Jill's) family. To start with her Grandma Iowa's middle name is Ann- Jeri Ann, her aunt's middle name is also Ann-Julie Ann. And one of her Great Grandma's middle names was Ann, Darlene Ann Walter (she was Jill's maternal grandmother). So some very important people have the middle name Ann, and Raegan is following suit!



Chris also informed me that all of our kids' First, Middle and Last names ALL have an N in them. I know most of you don't care, just some worthless information that I thought I would share!



Raegan Ann Nerio--sounds perfect to me. And I think she looks just like a Raegan! Or Sweetheart Lollipop, whichever you prefer!

Grandpa Iowa

Grandpa Iowa got to visit for a weekend to meet Raegan and play with Brooklyn and Jamison.

I think everyone had a lot of fun!!!


Brooklyn enjoyed having someone else to help her with puzzles, play play doh with, and read books with!
Jamison enjoyed having someone else around to hold him since mom's arms are usually occupied!

(By the way, that is one of Brooklyn's dolls in the above picture, not Raegan....didn't want anyone freaking out on me!)

Not sure when the last time Grandpa Iowa played with play-doh---but I think he liked it!

Can't wait for another visit!!

The Dentist

Brooklyn had her very first dentist appointment, ever!! And boy, was she brave!!! I was SO SO SO proud of her!! She didn't whine or get scared once! She hopped right up in the chair and kept asking when the dentist was going to come!! She couldn't wait! She let the hygenist clean her teeth, and let Dr. Arnould check her teeth out without any hesitation!!


They were so impressed with her and her beautiful teeth!! She got a princess toothbrush, and she got to pick out a prize from the prize box...and guess what she got....

Let's hope all future dentist appointments go this smooth!! Great Job Brooklyn!

Our first week home!

Lots of pics to share to show our first week at home, our first hectic, chaotic, fun, crazy, loving week at home! Can't wait for many many many more!!

So far Raegan has enjoyed being held. But she is already doing better with sleeping in her bassinet. We are trying to get down any sort of routine as things are going to be even more crazy as Daddy starts back to work for a crazy month-leaving mom at home with all 3 kids. This should be interesting!
