2011 Wrap Up

Our New Year's Eve was once again--nothing to report!   We all needed today to get caught up from Christmas and our great trip!  Lots of laundry and cleaning being done!  Kids were all in bed pretty early, and we barely made it until midnight!

Once again--2011 was another great year for The Nerio's!  The kids are getting bigger and bigger every day!  We end 2011 with Brooklyn half way done with Pre-K, Jamison thinking about potty training, and Raegan talking more and more and more, as well as being able to keep up with her sister and brother!  We are so thankful for a year of wonderful health, and lots of happiness!!  We are excited to see what 2012 has in store for us, and look forward to seeing the kids get bigger and learn more everyday!

Once again--we love our daycare!  They do such great things with the kids!!  Brooklyn saved most of her ornaments as gifts for us for Christmas!!  She was so excited about them, and made sure we knew just when we could open them!   These all made for great decorations at Christmas!

Our little COWBOY!

While in Texas, this boy noticed one thing--the cowboy's boots!!  He nearly had a meltdown one day while we were there becuase he wanted to wear his boots.  Now--keep in mind, up to this point, he has NEVER worn the two pair of boots we have here at home.  Anyway--the day after we got back, what was the first thing he wanted to do--put on his boots  And he hasn't taken them off yet!!  He also gets his stick horse and rides it around. TOO CUTE!!

He has also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  He was outside that day riding it around and around and around, I think he was on it for at least 45 minutes!  Also notice, these are from New Years Eve, and he has short sleeves on, and Chris has shorts on!  It was SO nice outside!  We needed it after our long car ride home the night before!!

This boy just melts my heart!  And what a boy he is!! Football, cowboy boots, motorcycles, trains, trucks, tractors, wanting to be with Daddy, and more Football!!

Thanks AUNT JULIE!!!

Thanks Aunt J`ulie for coming to Texas with us!!!!!!!!  We love you and miss you!!!

We give the week TWO THUMBS UP!!

Game Day Baby!!!

Well, game day was finally here, and boy were we ready for some football!!!

We went to the game with the team, so we arrived plenty early to walk around and show off how cute we were!

We ventured into the stadium for just enough time to find our seats, and see the plane fly overhead and let out the parachuters.  It was pretty cool!

The National Anthem is always a favorite part of the game, especially with all of the service men and women in attendance!  The atmosphere was great!!

Jamison pretty much sat like this the whole time!!  He LOVES Football!!

Popcorn in the second half.  Also notice that Brooklyn has shed some clothes.  It was HOT!  I think it was 70degrees!!   I was worried about jackets, when really we needed sunscreen!!

This little girl did pretty good--she did take a little snooze late in the first half and over half time.
Unfortunately the game didn't quite turn out the way we hoped for.  Thanks to a last minute score by BYU, we lost 24-21.  However, we were so thankful to have a great week and have fun cheering on our Golden Hurricane!!

The bus drove us back to the hotel so we could catch our van for the drive home, and had so say Goodbye to Aunt Julie :(.    Of couse, the adventurous week couldn't end there-- we ended up with two carsick kids.  The last hour and a half was MISERABLE!!!  Mom was going back and forth between Jamison and Brooklyn throwing up--bless their hearts!!!  We were SO GLAD TO BE HOME!!!

Bowl Trip Day 4

Day 4 was another adventure for us!!  Daddy had some time in the morning to hang out with us which was nice.  We also had to switch hotels so that we would be closer to the stadium for game day (packing and moving everything was not fun!).  Before switching hotels we went to the Fort Worth Water Gardens that were across the street from our hotel.

The Water Gardens were very nice--and once again--the weather was perfect to be outside.  But we were off for another adventure.

We were off to see the JFK Assassination Site.  Although it didn't mean much to the kids--they can now say they have been there.  Julie--was very interested in this!  She actually said it was on her bucket list--so glad we could help her fulfill that!  The whole site was very interesting to me.  It was just a weird feeling being at the place that I have seen so many pictures and video's of of such an important event in history.

Two things were especially of interest to me---One was that there are two marks painted in the road where the actually two shots hit JFK.  And seeing the building and window that the shots came out of was pretty interesting also.

(Excuse the blurry pictures--one of the munchins got her smudgy fingers on it).

It was such a nice day--we spent quite a bit of time walking around.  We also went into a small shop across the street and got some ice cream and watched a short video being played of that day.  We didn't make it up to the 6th Floor Museum though--as I was pretty sure the kids would not have done well there.  But to say we have been there, was pretty neat!

After our afternoon adventure we made it to our new hotel and got settled in again.  We decided to divide the kids up that evening, which was great!  Jamison stayed with daddy and ate with the team and helped him with the football boys.  Raegan stayed with Julie and was asleep by 6:30.  Poor girl didn't even eat she was so sleepy.  She slept all night til 6:30 the next morning in her clothes!   Brooklyn went with me to a TU Bowl Bash.  We had a lot of fun!  We ate, and then she got some dancing in!!  It was a fun night!

Great night!!  Now off to get a good nights rest so we are ready for GAME DAY!!!
