Yes, I made this!

Here is the cake that I made for Jamison's baptism. And yes, I made it myself! Thanks to my friend Ann and her award winning recipe, I gave this "Cake for a King" a shot. And what a fitting name for this special occasion! It was pretty darn tasty, and good looking also! That is white chocolate on the top.... Scrumptious!!

The cake is on a cake plate that my grandma gave me for a wedding present! I used it for Brooklyn's baptism as well. Grandma Bev made many cakes when we were younger, and I think it is special when I get to use to for special occasions like this!

Look at this deluctable dessert smorgusboard....Thanks to the strawberry cake that Jason and Angela brought, and the little cheesecakes that our good friend Karla brought, there was plenty to go around!

Also in the picture are frames, one was for Jamison and one was for Katherine. They are personalized with what was happening the day and year they were born. What a fun keepsake! Brooklyn has one too....somewhere....

Just had to share our special treats from baptism! (And show off the cake I was able to pull off!)

Not sure who enjoyed it more, but we all (Brooklyn, Mommy, and Grandma Iowa) all had a great time!

Grandma Iowa

What a weekend!

Well we had a very eventful weekend, AGAIN! This time Grandma Iowa got to come for a visit, Jamison was baptized along with his cousin Katherine, had a great post-baptism lunch at our house, had a great Valentines day, and Brooklyn got a special trip to see Disney Live with Mommy and Grandma Iowa. We were pooped by Sunday night! But what a fun weekend!!!

He is on the move!

This video is from the first week in February when Jamison finally made a move-forward! After a couple weeks of rocking, he now looks like a new born animal trying to walk! Oh-it will be no time before he is as fast as the speed of lightening!

Papa Iowa

Well the weather FINALLY cooperated and Papa Iowa got to come down for a weekend. We had a lot of fun doing nothing! We sat around home with lots of entertainment from Brooklyn and Jamison. Jamison started making his first moves and started awkwardly crawling a few feet. The BIG NEWS!!!!

This is probably the most exciting thing that has happened to us recently and we are excited to share the news with everyone......

We better start saving our pennies!

And it looks like a minivan may be in our future!

We are now a family of four…

And often thought, “We can’t take anymore!”

But you know we like a good surprise!

So come July 2010, we will be a family of FIVE!!!

Yes, Yes, Yes, we know….

Three kids under 3,

Three in car seats can it be?

Two in diapers, two in cribs…

Boy will we need a lot of bibs!!

Not sure how this will go,

But it was meant to be, that is what WE KNOW!!!

Where did January go???

SO sorry for being so bad about posting this past month!!! Time is flying by, we went from Christmas to February, just like that! To fill you in on what we have been up to since Christmas...

We enjoyed the rest of our Christmas break with both Chris and Jill being off work! We got the Christmas tree down pretty quickly, just so that we would have room for all of our new toys!!!

Brooklyn has brought it to our attention that she has a boyfriend at school. She says he is her boyfriend becuase "he loves her". She also went on to mention all of the drama between other girls and boys at school. That Imagination Station and Busy Bees class are pretty entertaining!!! However she is one of two girls in her class, with NINE boys. Chris is already starting to panic!!!

Jamison has been very busy!! He has learned to sit up by himself! And has been trying his hardest to get crawling! He is SO close! He doesn't let him stop from moving all over the place and getting into things though!!

Both kids have had ear infections, Jamison now has two teeth. Last time we weighed Jamison he was about 18 pounds! He likes talking and still just SMILES and SMILES and SMILES! Brooklyn still loves dancing and singing. And also still likes reading books and writing.

Well, I think that is about it! Nothing real exciting, just growing, playing, and enjoying each other! We will see what February has to bring!
