Is that FOOTBALL on TV??

Jamison likes watching TV. I know that is nothing to brag about or be too proud about, or even supported by a lot of people, but he likes it. I am going to blame it on the fact that it is football season! Recently he has been spotted with this pose, just so he can get a peak at some football on TV!!! He uses this pose other times as well, there is just so much to see, sometimes you have to arch that back and look upside down!!

Getting Big

Jamison is growing and growing and growing! Talking (baby talk) lots and lots. I think he hears Brooklyn singing and wants to be heard too!! He is pretty content hanging out and watching what is going on!! He is putting EVERYTHING in his mouth-hand, shirt, blanket... Not sure what we are going to do when he wants to play WITH Brooklyn's things instead of just watching. Hopefully they will play together instead of fight over toys....only time will tell!! I can't wait!

More funny sayings and misheard lyrics

Thought of a couple more funny things that have come from Brooklyn....

Prayers sounds like Parrots. So she says her Parrots every night before bed!

She has also told me a couple of times...."Don't worry about me mom!" Um, hello you are two years old, this is a sure sign that something is happening that isn't suppose to be!

She was also watching Jamison play and grab a toy the other day and said, "Good job Jaaisom, I am so PROUD of you!" SO CUTE!

She makes us laugh every day that is for sure!!

What we are singing these days~

Brooklyn has become her little own pop star!! She is singing ALL OF THE TIME! She does a very good job remembering words and is in tune a lot of the time. Just thought I would share some of the MANY songs she is loving these days....

Deep and Wide
He's Got the Whole World in His Hands
Mary had a little lamb
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
The wheels on the Bus-with many versus and actions!
Jesus Loves Me
Itsy Bitsy Spider
This old man (Knick knack patty whack)

And the list goes on and on.....!!!

Disney on Ice

Not sure who was more excited, Mom or Brooklyn!! But we had a special night for just Brooklyn, Mommy and Daddy---Time for Disney on Ice!! (Jamison stayed with Grandma Nerio). It was "Worlds of Fantasy" and had stories from Cars, The Little Mermaid, Lion King, and Tinkerbell. Brooklyn sat the whole time and barely moved, she didn't quite know what to think, but I think she had a good time! Who wouldn't with cotton candy, a corn dog, a Princess light, and with dad wearing the flower hat!!! A fun night! Can't wait til next year (atleast Mom can't!)

GO TU!!!!!

Well, we made it to our first official TU football game of the year!!! Brooklyn as you can see went in style!! She was an adorable and excellent cheerleader! Jamison was also a good sport even though I don't have footage to prove it! He continued his people watching hobby! Both kids made it through the middle of the third quarter. Then they had had ENOUGH and were ready to go! Luckily mom had the help of Grandma Iowa, as well as Uncle Bill, and Grandma and Grandpa Nerio were nearby as well! Mom doesn't have enough hands to do it by herself!!!! Let's just say that when we left in the middle of the third quarter the score was 42-3 I think....(TU winning) and I had only seen one touchdown. All of the others I was making sure someone was fed, taking someone potty, making sure no one fell off the bench as they were cheering, taking someone potty, making sure someone else was fed, looking for something in the bag, taking someone potty, etc. etc. However, we had a VERY FUN time! Brooklyn was quite entertaining!! Yelling every time she saw her Daddy! And yelling "GO TU!" The only problem she had was when she saw that the cheerleaders has two pom poms and she only had one....we were a little jealous. Guess we will be finding another one before the next game!

More visitors!

We were lucky again to have some reinforcements come in to help for a weekend! Grandma Iowa made the drive down again and brought Aunt Nell and Uncle Bill down with her. We had a fun time of doing nothing! I think they were all very entertained with Brooklyn and Jamison!

Jamison's Turn!

Yes, finally an update on our Little Monkey. Or Smiley Guy as I call him these days! In the last week to week and a half Jamison has really started to talk more, smile, and even a little giggle here and there! He is a very happy baby overall, just like Brooklyn was! If he is tired or hungry, HE WILL LET YOU KNOW!! Otherwise, he is content to look around! He is going to be a people watcher!!!
Here are a couple short video's of him saying HI!

Update-Potty Training

We have never said much about how Brooklyn did at potty training, so thought I would update you. Brooklyn has been potty trained for a little over three months now! That's right, potty trained just after turning two! She caught on very quickly, and I would say overall she had less than 15-20 accidents total!!! She has had a couple of days here and there that she gets side-tracked. But I would say overall she did GREAT!! Oh, did I mention two of the accidents happened while she was on Chris' lap! One at home, and one in the hospital after we had Jamison (good thing we lived close to the hospital so Chris could come home and change!). She loves making us "PROUD" of her, so she was very receptive to the idea of how proud we were if she was accident free....oh, and did I mention the treats she got too? She really didn't have any setbacks after Jamison was born, so that was a relief. She still doesn't have the night time thing down, and it will probably be some time before she does, but we are VERY PROUD OF HER!!!! One down, one to go! Too bad they say boys are harder than girls!!

Misheard Lyrics.....

Brooklyn has a couple of funny "misheard lyrics". Truly she just hasn't quite learned how to say the words correctly. She REALLY thinks she is saying them correctly, and if you say it how she says it, she corrects you by saying it louder and slower, although it still sounds wrong. Thought I would share a couple with you. Some of these she has already outgrown and is saying correctly now, but they were fun while they lasted!!!

Gookalyn=Brooklyn
Cloth cloth=washcloth...say cloth cloth out loud...it just sounds funny!
Hokey pokey=Polk a dots

Overall she has a FANTASTIC vocabulary!!! She speaks in full sentences, sings many many songs (in tune even), and easily learns new words! The other day I taught her what starving meant. The next night she asked me before dinner time. "You starving Momma?" She is just a little sponge!!!
