We made it to Iowa on Saturday evening. We went down to have dinner at Treynor Days and listened to a band for a little bit. On Sunday we didn't do a whole lot besides visiting, and on Monday we went to the Omaha Zoo. They have a great zoo, and we even got to see about 5 or so baby lion cubs while they were feeding them about 5 feet away. However the camera didn't make the zoo trip with us!
Tuesday marked July 2nd. Our favorite little guy's birthday!
And no better way to celebrate than in Iowa garb!
Oh---I could just squeeze them to pieces! And then freeze time!
This little guy loves this tractor that Grandpa Iowa has had since he was a little boy!
They were doing some construction at the high school to put in a new football field/stadium/driveway etc. So that meant LOTS of trucks! So what a better way to spend a little boys birthday than sitting watching trucks for an hour or two!
Then we went and walked on the pedestrian bridge that connects Iowa and Nebraska!
In two states at the same time!
Jamison doesn't look to sure about stepping into NE--that-a-boy!
Then back to Grandpa's for a quick game of baseball!
Then we had a little birthday celebration!~
Iowa Hawkeye Ice cream cake and all!
And of course, presents!!
This pic cracks me up--we didn't have any candles, so he is just pretending!! HA!
Plus we got to do this all outside, so that was a bonus for our little birthday boy who LOVES to be outside!
Uncle Jonny made this little guys day with the last present of the day! ALL smiles!!
Jamison--I can't believe your four years old! You will be starting Pre-K this year, and are growing up way too fast! You are quite the little boy! You are funny, loving, ornery, and pretty darn cute through it all! You love your puppy, your soft blanket, and your daddy! You love trucks, sports, and being a little boy! You are our little guy, our buddy, and we love you so much! Happy 4th Birthday!
