National Doughnut Day!

We celebrated national doughnut day with a trip to Krispie Kreme for a free doughnut!  The kids LOVED it, and LOVED watching the process of the donuts being made!  They even got to try and HOT and FRESH donut that melted in their mouth!  I thought they were going to melt too when they tasted it!

Fun Friday night outing!

Last day of school!

We made it!!  What a great year!  I am so proud of these two kiddos and how they did this past year!

First of all they had great attendance!!!  Brooklyn only had one tardy (which I think was from the dentist), and Jamison had two absences, which were days we kept him home because he was sick.

Secondly, they learned a lot!  They both got smarter this year! :)  Jamison worked really hard, and Brooklyn amazed us at how well she is reading!  They both came home with information that shocked us, we all learned something this year from Pre-K and First Grade!

Third, they grew as people!  Jamison is much more brave and outgoing, and Brooklyn is maturing before our eyes!

Give us a summer break, and we will ROCK Kindergarten and Second Grade. (And Raegan will be ready for Pre-K!)  We will have three kids in school--YIKES!!

Date night

Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a night out at Dave Matthews concert!
And just because there are barely ever any pics of us, I decided to add some, along with two selfies of Momma!  Hee Hee!

Dancing in the rain

Sometimes you just have to learn to dance in the rain!
Seriously--we had to teach them to dance in the rain, as the day before Brooklyn was practically in tears when I tried to pull her out to dance in it!  But not this time, dancing in the rain was FUN!

And yes, you can look cool in the rain!

Birthday earrings!

Brooklyn decided that she wanted her ears pierced for her birthday, but since she was in soccer, she had to wait until the season was over!  Well, soccer was over, so no waiting around!

She picked out some pretty pink flower earrings, and was so brave!  No whine, cry, wince, nothing!

She can't wait for her six weeks to be up so she can change them!  Grandma Iowa gave her earrings for her birthday and Grandpa Iowas sent her money to go shopping, so I see a lot of earring changes in the future!

I didn't think she could get any more beautiful, now she just has some bling in her ears to make her sparkle even more!!

Memorial Day

A little red, white, and blue for ya!

T-town kickers, season in review!

Well we ended a little rough, but started out rougher!

Let's just say we had a fun season!

Brooklyn did awesome!  She scored goals in most of the games!  One game I think she scored four!  She worked hard, had attitude with the coach every once in awhile :), but she loved the season!  She is competitive, aggressive, and never gave up!!!

She just scored her first goal right before this pic!!  I was jumping up and down with my hands in the air, and she turns around and walks all cool!  And then gives me a thumbs up and I give one right back.  Almost every goal after that, we gave a thumbs up sign to each other!

Love her face in this pic, her and four defenders, and she looks tough!

A pic of all but one of the girls!

Love this one because it is all of the Carnegie girls, and they look so happy!  I loved each of the Carnegie girls, they really worked hard and had good attitudes!!!

She just looks athletic!

I love these next pics as well, one because she is so happy, but two because she didn't even score the goal!  She assisted in the goal, but she is happy for her team, that is why I love her!

Coach Jill, although not sure I quite earned the title!  I think I would make a better team manager than Coach!  I love this pic because my little sidekick Raegan is on my hip, love her!

Ha--love these next two pics, just look closely--we look like we are beatin people up out there!

And good sports also!

And our fans were awesome too!

End of season silly pic!

Me and my assistant coach!  Love how simple this pic is, and who gets a pic of them holding hands with their baby just becuase???

Go T-Town Kickers!!

Well I have to say coaching a first grade soccer team is one of the toughest things I have done!  They really did get better as the season progressed and I am so proud of them!  They taught me a lot even though our record didn't turn out at all how my competitive self wanted it to.  They taught me its about having fun, not winning, they taught me its about having supportive parents and fans that make a difference, and they taught me how to be positive when I was feeling pretty negative.  I was so proud of Brooklyn  and her teammates!  Now I have to run and find a new Coach for next year that knows what they are doing :)

Special thanks to Meredith Wullkotte of 519Photography, who is Raleigh's mom for taking all the great pics this season!!  Look her up Tulsa peeps!

For season one of the T-Town Kickers--that's a wrap!
