Brooklyn's friend Monica lives in the cul-de-sac next to ours, and they invited us over for the Lego Movie, outdoor style! It was a lot of fun!! What a great start to the summer!!

Field day and Girl Scout Bridging
Both Jamison and Brooklyn enjoyed field day at Carnegie where they got to play games and be outside!
Later that same day Brooklyn had Girl Scouts where she bridged from Daisies to Brownies! So we are officially a Brownie now :)

1st Grade Publishing Party
Starting if first grade Carnegie has students write a book! Out of all the things in the world Brooklyn could have chosen to write about, ponies, butterflies, toys, books, princesses, friends, etc., she chose to write about her Family! And let me just tell you how honored I am to be her mom! Her book was awesome!

Birth-day! Brooklyn is officially 7!
I can't believe it Brooklyn--you are seven years old. Where has the time gone?? You are turning into a young lady right before my eyes! You are beautiful, smart, a good helper (when you want to be), a great big sister (when you want to be :)), you are strong willed, independent, and I can't imagine my life without you! I remember the day we found out you were going to be part of our lives--one of the two best surprises of my life!, I remember the day you arrived, and it seems like yesterday! You really are my best friend!! I am so thankful God gave me YOU!! Happy 7th Birthday Girl---Love your momma!
We got snow cones after school!
Then dinner, cupcakes and a few more presents! :)
Brooklyn also got some great gifts from some very important people!
She got the Laura Ingalls Wilder book collection, which I cannot wait for her to read!!!! Special thanks Aunt Angela and Uncle Jason!
And Aunt Julie sent her a move gift card, which she can't wait for her to come into town so they can go to the movies together!!

Brooklyn's turn 7 sleepover!
Brooklyn is turning 7, so we decided to let her have her first sleepover birthday party!
She invited three friends, Monica, Avery, and Elke. Plus Raegan is a bonus! :)
They played outside on the swingset, we made some ribbon flip flops, decorated cupcakes, and played with glow sticks! Overall a fun night (but VERY stressful on Momma)
One girl went home early, but everyone else was asleep by 11:00 I think, and I could finally exhale!
I think next time one girl at a time is enough! :)
We woke up the next morning and went for donuts! Yummo fun!
Brooklyn had a great night though, and that is all that matters!!
