UNCLE JASON--our Navy Hero!!

We have really been missing Uncle Jason, Aunt Angela, and Katherine and Luca since they moved to Virginia!  Uncle Jason is getting ready to go on his deployment on the USS George HW Bush, and will be at sea for about 10 months.  Before he left, he came back to Oklahoma for a visit!  Jamison has been so interested in learning about aircraft carriers, and aircrafts, and was excited to hear what Uncle Jason will do.  Jamison said he is also going to be in the Navy, but wants to fly one of the blue planes (The Blue Angels!)  Momma's heartrate already went up!  Anyway, it was great to see Jason!  His visit included a lego building session at Grandma Mary's one night!

And Jamison got one of his Shooter shirts!

Jason--we will be thinking about you lots, and praying for your safety!  We will also include Angela and the kids in thoughts and prayers, as we know it will be a long hard 10 months!!  But we know you are all "deployment strong" and will pass the test with flying colors!  Fair winds and following seas!

Grandpa Iowa and Carol came to visit!

When Grandpa Iowa comes, things seem to get silly!

Including Jump Roping in the house!
They chose a great weekend, as we were able to get outside (keep in mind it snowed two weeks prior!)

Had a great visit with them!  Lego's, bulldozer, jump rope, went to church, and out for lunch--had a great visit!

Dentist time

We had our first cavity!  And Jamison was the winner!  Luckily Daddy was the one to take him to get it fixed, as mommy has a bad history at dentist office!!  He did great, no whining or complaining, and came out with two aircraft carriers!  (I think the laughing gas helped! :))

2013 Wrap Up

Well New Years Eve just confirmed that we are boring!  We had dinner at home, watched some TV and had the kids to be before 10:00!  They had no clue anybody was out doing anything exciting!  We did have some sparking cherry 7-up in fancy glasses with dinner though!  Big Time!!!

Chris and I did make it past midnight had had some champagne to ring in 2014.

I am so thankful for everything that came our way in 2013, and looking forward to what 2014 has in store!  So glad that we have family and friends to share our adventures with!

Merry Everything and Happy Always!

Cheers!

Christmas

We were all looking forward to Christmas break this year!  We would have two full weeks with no school, and no traveling, and pretty much no work (minus one or two half days for daddy).  Aunt Julie came to town for the full week of Christmas, so we knew it would be a fun week!

Christmas Eve we went to church in the afternoon for the kids service, then when we came home Aunt Julie had a fun game waiting for us!  Minute to Win It!  We all tackled about 10 different obstacles, we all had a lot of fun!  Thanks Jules!  Then for dinner we ate by candlelight with fancy drinks!  The kids thought that was fun!

It was fun decorating the house this year, finding new places for things, adding another tree, and making everything festive!

This was the sports tree that we did in the playroom this year!  Fun!

Our main tree in the living room after Santa delivered his presents, and boy did he leave a lot!!!!

Christmas morning did not disappoint.  Mom wasn't feeling too great so that was really the only bummer!  But she was at least feeling good enough to be able to watch them open presents!!!

There were so many great things!!!  Rockets, barbies, make up, clothes, shoes, play doh, head bands, toy instruments, and the list goes on!  I think everyone got what they wanted plus another 15 presents or so each!  Santa just cant resist over doing himself, as the looks on their faces as they open each gift is priceless!  The kids and daddy went over to Papa Vince and Grandma Marys for lunch, mom still wasn't feeling too great so she had to miss out :(

We did have dinner that evening to celebrate Chris' birthday!  Happy 36 daddy-o!

It was such a great day, I could toot my own horn!  :)  Looks like someone else already beat me to it!

We ended the week with Julie taking us all to the movie Frozen (mom, J and R spend some time in the lobby as they were a little scared of the movie theatre!), and we also got to see Gretchen and Mere one evening for dinner as well!   Great week!

What a very Merry Christmas we had, and hopefully a Happy Birthday for Daddy as well!
