Vacay Part 2: Brooklyn's first boat ride

Once Mere got there Thursday afternoon it was off for Brooklyn's first boating experience. She had been talking this up for awhile, and glad that she followed through with riding on the boat!

Once we were all buckled in our life jacket Captain Mere took the wheel!

The Lake: Part 1

The Nerio's went on vacation! A nice, family friendly, relaxing vacation! I could go on and on about how much fun we had, so notice this is titled Part 1 as I will probably have to break things up!! So get on board for Summer Vacation: Nerio party of 4!

We were fortunate to be invited down to a lake house in Texas that belongs to one of our wonderful friends' Meredith's family. We went two years ago with Brooklyn and were blessed to be asked back again! And lucky for us Meredith met us there to enjoy in the fun with us! We were on Lake Holbrook outside of Mineola Texas. It is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Tulsa.

Let's start with the drive down there.... It was great!! Both kids were great, not a single whine, cry, or unnecessary stops!! I was so proud of both of them (and me for that sake!).

Once we got there we quickly unloaded and went to the grocery store quickly to stock up on a few things. Then back to the lake house we went!

The next morning Jamison didn't waste any time and was up bright and early! He thought coffee and breakfast on the deck was pretty cool!

This was one of the kids' favorite parts: playing on the beds! There was a trundle bed so it was very easy for them to crawl up and down (or try to dive off for Jamison), and boy did Jamison think he was funny stuff!!

We also enjoyed a little pool time on Thursday. And for some reason Brooklyn wanted to do daddy's hair! She did an excellent job!

Sunday FUNday!

Daddy has been very very busy working football camp the last two weeks! But that doesn't mean we haven't had fun without him! Today Brooklyn decided that she wanted to wear her pajamas all day, so that we did! All of us!! And boy were we SILLY!!
It was so nice to see this happy boy again after two weeks of being sick!! It was a big relief to hear those laughs and giggles again! Mommy had gotten an early birthday present which came in a box full of styrofoam peanuts--and boy did the kids have fun in there!! They both LOVED it! Cheapest toy we have gotten in awhile---and no way did I throw them out! I have the box saved for another rainy day!

Jamison continued to be silly as he was crawling in and out of his hamper! Once again-if it makes them giggle, why stop them!

What a fun Sunday! But we sure do look forward to having Daddy back! And having healthy kids!

Sick Little Guy!

Our little guy has been sick a lot lately! Ear infection (both ears) after ear infection (both ears). Now on his third antibiotic-first one didn't work, second one he had an allergic reaction to, third seems to be working well!

He has gotten so used to having his temperature taken that he now thinks he can do it himself! Luckily it is one that you swipe their forehead with !

Poor little guy was down and out there for awhile, but I think he is coming back around finally! We make a trip to see the Ear, Nose, and Throat Dr. later this month to see if putting tubes in his ears is in our future or not!

We LOVE when Aunt Julie visits!!

Aunt Julie came to visit for a whole week!! And boy did we keep her busy!! Playing games, painting, playing bubbles, chasing, cleaning, cooking, painting fingernails, and even a little snuggle time with Jamison!

We can't wait for her to come back!!!

What a better way to end a hot hot day than to take a dip in the pool!!

A party for the new baby!

A few very very special people at Mommy's work threw a baby shower to celebrate the new baby coming! It was so nice! Decorated cute in summery orange and lime green, with all sorts of animals, bunnies-bears-giraffes-elephants-duckies. There were many great co-workers that came to celebrate and contributed to a special gift-a MONEY TREE!!! It will be SO helpful as we prepare for the baby, buy diapers, diapers, and more diapers!

Memorial Day weekend=Pool Time!

We love to SPLISH SPLASH in the pool!!

Jamison also likes to crawl out of the pool, try to climb up the tree and then get back in the pool!

What a great start to summer! We look forward to many more pool parties!!

What Jamison has been up to....

GETTING INTO EVERYTHING!! That is what he has been up to!

He is getting pretty brave, climbing, and wanting to open every cabinet and drawer!!

Needless to say the chair in the above picture has been relocated out of Jamison's reach!!

And a lot of these (child proof locks) have been put back on every drawer and cabinet!!



No walking yet though, he just hasn't realized how much trouble he could get in if he would walk! He knows he can crawl really fast, and if he puts his hands up someone will pick him up....so who needs to walk if that is the case!

But when he does decide to start walking...watch out!!!
