YARDWORK!!!!

We have been working really hard outside to make our yard and all the landscaping look good!

Its a lot of work, but I am really happy with how things are looking!  We have moved dirt, put down sod two different times in different areas, pulled lots of weeds, planted flowers, redone entire flower beds, planted a few hydrangeas, put down over 20 bags of mulch, and had very sore backs!

We are also going to give a garden a try this year!  Tomoatoes, green pepper, green beans, a watermelon and some canteloupe!  Hoping we get lucky and get to eat atleast one thing out of the garden!

This is a huge hibiscus that was here from before we moved, one of my favorite parts of the backyard!

AND--for my birthday Chris got us this BEAUTIFUL outdoor table and chairs!  I have had my eye on it for awhile and totally love it on our deck!!

We ate on it the very first night!  And all of us sat at the table together, relaxing and eating grilled Hamburgers!  What a great birthday present!!!

We still have some work to do, and the upkeep will never be done, but we are loving our life outdoors these days!!!

Take me out to the ballgame!

Friday night we had a great night at the ballpark!

We always get great seats there when we go, Thanks to a friend!  We always sit right behind the home dugout, so the kids always get a baseball thrown at them--you should have seen Jamison's face the first time, it was like he was in a dream--grinning ear to ear!

Jamison is the small dot of red you see running on the field.  He did the run with the bull (the mascot) and ran from baseline to baseline!  He ran fast, but boy is that field big!!

There were fireworks after the show as well!  The kids liked them, but they were loud!  What a fun night out!

PJ's????

Jamison has his own sense of fashion!  He is into muscle shirts right now, he likes sweatshirts, he is weird about socks and shoes!  But tonight he took it to a new level!  He wanted to wear a sweatshirt to bed...it was 90 degrees today, so we told him  no.  Then he told us he had a church sweatshirt with no sleeves he could wear to bed so that he wouldn't get hot, we said "show us".  And out he comes with two sweater vests!!! LOL!  So we let him put one on, and he wore it to bed!

He is one of a kind, and all mine!!!

Happening Saturday!

What a busy fun day!  It started out with a party in the park that one of Jamison's classmates had to celebrate summer, and that they are going into Kindergarten!  It even included Pony rides and a splash pad!!

Then Saturday evening we went downtown to watch Tulsa Tough.  A bike ride that they have in Tulsa that includes REAL bike races!!!  They were going FAST!  It was fun to watch!

 More summer fun!!!!

National Doughnut Day!

We celebrated national doughnut day with a trip to Krispie Kreme for a free doughnut!  The kids LOVED it, and LOVED watching the process of the donuts being made!  They even got to try and HOT and FRESH donut that melted in their mouth!  I thought they were going to melt too when they tasted it!

Fun Friday night outing!

Last day of school!

We made it!!  What a great year!  I am so proud of these two kiddos and how they did this past year!

First of all they had great attendance!!!  Brooklyn only had one tardy (which I think was from the dentist), and Jamison had two absences, which were days we kept him home because he was sick.

Secondly, they learned a lot!  They both got smarter this year! :)  Jamison worked really hard, and Brooklyn amazed us at how well she is reading!  They both came home with information that shocked us, we all learned something this year from Pre-K and First Grade!

Third, they grew as people!  Jamison is much more brave and outgoing, and Brooklyn is maturing before our eyes!

Give us a summer break, and we will ROCK Kindergarten and Second Grade. (And Raegan will be ready for Pre-K!)  We will have three kids in school--YIKES!!
