Cuteness and KC lunch

After LEGOLAND we had a couple of photos outside!

And then we went to lunch at Fritz's.  It was a cool place in the mall that was all about trains!

They had trains you could watch!
But your food was delivered by a train also, that dropped your basket at your table!  It was pretty cool!

Plus we had the two cutest engineers in all the planet!!!!

Now, we are finally off to Iowa!!!

Legoland!

We decided to surprise the kids with something different and take them to LEGOLAND in Kansas City!

We had a fun time!!
Daddy finding out how much he weighs in lego bricks!

Mini Kansas City made out of lego's.

Wizard of Oz out of legos!

We also got to watch a 4D movie, the kids thought it was great!!!

They had this ride there.  Jamison and Brooklyn loved it!!  B rode it three times.  Unfortunately R was too little!  It was a little ride that went in circles and you could beddle to make it go up and down.  Lot's of smiles!

And can't have the camera out without a couple more close ups of this silly girl!

We had a fun time!!!  And it broke up our ride to Iowa just right!!

I think even Raegan approves!

Kansas City here we come!

We are going to IOWA!!
But on our way we decided to make a stop in KC for a mini vacation (one whole day!)

We got into KC late Friday night, and got up Saturday morning for a surprise for the kids.

But before our surprise we were able to visit this free Curious George exhibit that was in the mall by where we were going!

Busy summer, new house!

To say our summer has been busy is a true understatement.  In June Brooklyn and Jamison has two weeks of swimming lessons (more to come on that), Brooklyn had Creative Spirit camp at our church for one week, and she followed that by Soccer camp at TU for one week, and then Brooklyn and Jamison went to Vacation Bible School at our church for one week as well!  So needless to say, mom put some miles on the minivan!

Oh--and did I mention a move in there!  Yes, packing, packing, inspections, packing, loading, phone calls, packing, inspections, and more packing were all in there also!

There were a few hiccups in the road with the new house purchase as well.   First we ran into some repairs that needed to be made.  Luckily, the sellers agreed to pay for the repairs, however, they won't be done before we move in.  Second, the day before we were supposed to close, we found out that the sellers were unable to get some information they needed from their mortgage company about their loan, so we had to push back closing.  We ended up having to push it back 3 weeks.  However, we had to close on the house we were selling...SO we were technically homeless for a bit.

So thankful that Grandma Iowa and Aunt Julie came into town to help us move (which only ended up being moving out, not moving in).  But they helped entertain us for a few days in a hotel, including swimming, eating out, and putting us up in a hotel!  We can't thank them enough for helping us out in a very stressful time!!!!!!!  We love you guys!!  We then moved in and took over Grandma Mary and Papa Vince's house for a week!  Special thanks to them as well for the meals, laundry, and pillow to rest on at night!  Although being homeless was stressful, we sure are thankful for family and that we were all together through it all!

Eventually we ended up getting early occupancy and were able to start living at our new house, although they were doing the repairs mentioned above, so we were all sleeping on mattresses on floors and on the couch and out of boxes.  But again, at least we were together!!

Finally on June 28th, we were able to close on our house and call it OURS!!!  We have more than doubled in size, and we are in love with our new house!  We have some work to do on it, but we are really excited!  Stay tuned for pics!!
