Legoland!

We decided to surprise the kids with something different and take them to LEGOLAND in Kansas City!

We had a fun time!!
Daddy finding out how much he weighs in lego bricks!

Mini Kansas City made out of lego's.

Wizard of Oz out of legos!

We also got to watch a 4D movie, the kids thought it was great!!!

They had this ride there.  Jamison and Brooklyn loved it!!  B rode it three times.  Unfortunately R was too little!  It was a little ride that went in circles and you could beddle to make it go up and down.  Lot's of smiles!

And can't have the camera out without a couple more close ups of this silly girl!

We had a fun time!!!  And it broke up our ride to Iowa just right!!

I think even Raegan approves!

Kansas City here we come!

We are going to IOWA!!
But on our way we decided to make a stop in KC for a mini vacation (one whole day!)

We got into KC late Friday night, and got up Saturday morning for a surprise for the kids.

But before our surprise we were able to visit this free Curious George exhibit that was in the mall by where we were going!

Busy summer, new house!

To say our summer has been busy is a true understatement.  In June Brooklyn and Jamison has two weeks of swimming lessons (more to come on that), Brooklyn had Creative Spirit camp at our church for one week, and she followed that by Soccer camp at TU for one week, and then Brooklyn and Jamison went to Vacation Bible School at our church for one week as well!  So needless to say, mom put some miles on the minivan!

Oh--and did I mention a move in there!  Yes, packing, packing, inspections, packing, loading, phone calls, packing, inspections, and more packing were all in there also!

There were a few hiccups in the road with the new house purchase as well.   First we ran into some repairs that needed to be made.  Luckily, the sellers agreed to pay for the repairs, however, they won't be done before we move in.  Second, the day before we were supposed to close, we found out that the sellers were unable to get some information they needed from their mortgage company about their loan, so we had to push back closing.  We ended up having to push it back 3 weeks.  However, we had to close on the house we were selling...SO we were technically homeless for a bit.

So thankful that Grandma Iowa and Aunt Julie came into town to help us move (which only ended up being moving out, not moving in).  But they helped entertain us for a few days in a hotel, including swimming, eating out, and putting us up in a hotel!  We can't thank them enough for helping us out in a very stressful time!!!!!!!  We love you guys!!  We then moved in and took over Grandma Mary and Papa Vince's house for a week!  Special thanks to them as well for the meals, laundry, and pillow to rest on at night!  Although being homeless was stressful, we sure are thankful for family and that we were all together through it all!

Eventually we ended up getting early occupancy and were able to start living at our new house, although they were doing the repairs mentioned above, so we were all sleeping on mattresses on floors and on the couch and out of boxes.  But again, at least we were together!!

Finally on June 28th, we were able to close on our house and call it OURS!!!  We have more than doubled in size, and we are in love with our new house!  We have some work to do on it, but we are really excited!  Stay tuned for pics!!

Bible school

Brooklyn and Jamison both went to bible school this year at our church!  (we had to twist Jamison's arm though, as he isn't a fan of doing things that he is unfamiliar with, and so he ended up not going one day...)  But the both did an awesome job at the program!!!

I sure was proud of how this boy did at the program considering how nervous he was during the week!  What a stud!

And I can't have the camera out without getting a close up of this photogenic little girl!

Early Birthday Surprise

Mommy, Daddy, and Brooklyn have been keeping a big surprise from Jamison and Raegan just waiting for a good time to give it to them!  We just couldn't wait any longer!  Plus the kids have been such good sports about the moving fiasco, we were looking forward to a surprise!

So to the front step we went, closing our eyes waiting for the big reveal!

And then out of the garage daddy appears with a surprise!
And this little boy lit up!

And then gave us a big  "YESSSSS"

Raegan was excited as well, and it was fun to see how excited Brooklyn was to give them their gifts!!

NEW BIKES!  BIG BOY AND BIG GIRL BIKES!!!

The kids had a great night riding their bikes!  And we now live in a cul-de-sac, so we can go out and the kids can ride their bikes and LOVE IT!!!  AND, now we have a garage that we can easily access them and we are loving life!!

And stay tuned, this little girls' training wheels are coming off soon!

Swim it up!

Both J and B took swimming lessons for two weeks.  Brooklyn did awesome!  She is swimming so well, going underwater to swim, coming up for breaths, and even jumped off the diving board at the end of the session.  Jamison--gave me an ulcer each and every day!  He would cry, get nervous, gag, cry, get nervous, gag, repeat and repeat!  He did a great job though, and tried really hard to be brave.
In the middle of the two weeks of swimming lessons is when we moved and ended up staying in the hotel for three nights while Julie and Grandma Iowa were here.  So we got to got to the pool.

And let me tell you, the kids were like FISH!  Even Jamison (who keep in mind is a nervous wreck at lessons) was jumping in, going under, having a GREAT time!!

Unfortunately with moving, we haven't had nearly as much pool time as we usually do!  Looks like we need to find some time to get there though!!

Soccer finale!

Well Brooklyn finished her soccer season, and they went undefeated!
She had a great time, and I know she got better!

The last game was followed by a pizza party and she got a great trophy!

The coach said that Brooklyn did a great job at always listening to the coaches, doing what was asked, and always smiled when doing it!

That-a-girl!!

For the last day of school mommy and daddy got to go have a picnic lunch with her.

We are so proud of Brooklyn and how well she has done this year in Kindergarten!  She is reading all by herself and one pretty smart little cookie!

Looking forward to a busy fun summer, and can't wait to see what First Grade has in store!

SOLD

We did it!  We sold our house!  We decided about two months ago to put our home on the market.  We knew we needed a little more room for our family.  But it is very bittersweet, as we love our house!  This was our first house, the one Chris and I first bought, and that he proposed to me in!  This was the house that I brought all three of my babies home to!  So many great memories at this house!

But it is now time to get excited for our adventure of moving!

We will be staying in Tulsa and moving a little less than a mile away!  We have found a wonderful house that we are very excited about, I think it is just perfect!!!!!!!  Stay tuned for new house updates and pics!
