Taking turns

Brooklyn and Jamison have been playing together very well lately!!!  They have a lot of fun, let's hope this keeps up!!  (Not too long after this the stroller broke....major meltdown--but Grandma Mary is going to come to the rescue and sew the seat back together!! Thank goodness!!)

Family Fun

Uncle Jason, Aunt Angela, and Cousin Katherine came to visit!  Katherine is getting so big!!!
Katherine reading some books....but boy can she tell a good story!!! If only we could understand what she was saying!!

Aunt Angela and Raegan
Mommy didn't do a very good job of taking pictures of the kids playing.  But they are getting to the age where they all interact with each other!  It makes for some good entertainment and it is quite a room full!!  Come back soon so that we can take more pictures and play!    Love you guys!

Stay at home day.

Brooklyn LOVES stay at home days (Saturdays and Sundays).  We count down the days of the week each week until stay at home days.  And on this stay at home day Mommy pulled out a new toy for Raegan.  But it ended up being entertainment for all three.....

All that, and nobody got hurt!!!

I will do it myself....

Jamison has decided that if whatever he is eating involves the use of a fork or a spoon that he MUST do it HIMSELF.  We are all about teaching independence, but it is coming at a VERY MESSY cost!!!

There is no talking this guy out of doing it himself, so we just have to laugh!!
But yes, he does get some in his mouth!
However, we go straight to the bathtub after dinner!!

Grandma Iowa

Grandma Iowa made it down for a visit this past weekend!  Boy did she get her moneys worth as she was entertained all weekend!!

Silly girls!
It takes a lot to get a good picture in this house!!

Grandma earned her keep as well!  She kept all three kids while Mom ran to the grocery store, and she also braved taking Brooklyn and Jamison to the grocery store by herself!  (She was planning on just taking Brooklyn, but Jamison was very upset he was getting left out--threw a sad face and a little whimper--and Grandma felt guilty and had to take him too!)

We had a great weekend!  It is always nice to have another set of hands to hold or cuddle someone, get lunch and dinner ready, or get a glass of milk for one or another!

What we have been up to....

Well Mommy has been back to work for two weeks now... so we have been very busy!  Mommy was a little overwhelmed returning back to work and had a hard time leaving her babies those first couple days!!  I knew they would be just fine and in good hands, but boy I didn't want to say goodbye!  Now we are getting in the swing of things, mornings are very very early, but we all get moving and shaking before the sun comes up!

Daddy has had to go on the road with the football team a couple of times now.  We miss him VERY much when he is gone, but we are SO excited to get to see him on Sunday mornings!!!  Brooklyn and Jamison sat and cuddled with Daddy all morning!

Brooklyn  is still a great big sister and helper, and Jamison is still the smiley cuddlebug who has mastered walking--no stopping him now!!

Needless to say we are busy!  The words clean, normal, organized, and sleep don't get used very much in our house anymore.  But we laugh and smile a lot, and we get a lot of hugs and kisses, and the words I LOVE YOU are heard lots and lots!  So I guess things are just perfect and as they should be!!

A few of our favorite things....and some good news.

These are a few of our favorite things and what we are into these days...

Brooklyn--playing "office", writing (or pretending too) letters and numbers, she likes to paint when mom will let her, jumping jumping jumping, cheerleading, dancing, singing, pretending to talk on the phone, and playing games on mommy's phone.
Sisters!!
Playing on mommy's phone.

Jamison--walking, walking, and walking, playing with the toy vaccuum (and the real one if we let him), bathtime, trucks (vvvrrrroomm), playing with any sort of ball, jumping on the couch, coloring when he gets his hands on Brooklyn colors, and playing peek a boo!
Walking with golf club, one of his favorite toys!
Jumping on the couch, one of our FAVORITE things to do!

Raegan--is having more and more awake time every day!  She still loves her momma the best, but who can blame her!  She is doing better on sleeping, not quite through the night, but we have came a long way!  Her favorite things include her blanket, eating, pooping pooping and pooping, and sleeping!

Jamison is saying more and more words all the time.   Not real clear, but he is trying to talk more.  And Raegan has coo'd a couple of times as well! No need to worry, our house is plenty loud enough though!

Which leads me to the good news.  Raegan had not passed her hearing test in her right ear as a newborn in the hospital, and Jamison also didn't do real great on his hearing test at his follow up appt. after having his tubes put in.  HOWEVER, both of them recently had their hearing re-tested and they both PASSED!!!  Yea!  So we now know that all of our kids can hear us, they just choose when to listen!

Go TU!

Well we made it to our first TU football game of the season.  Mom took Brooklyn and Jamison while Raegan stayed home with a babysitter.  And boy did we have fun!
Brooklyn is an excellent cheerleader!
And Jamison sat pretty well and enjoyed the game!

We made it a whole 3 quarters then had to go home for bed time!  Mommy realized how easy it is when she takes just two kids out instead of all 3!  But we know Raegan will be big enough to join us in no time!

Hopefully we can make some more games this season!  Go Golden Hurricane!

Man on the move.....

This little guy....

IS WALKING!!!

He took five or so steps the night before Raegan was born when Aunt Julie was here. Since then he has slowly gotten braver and braver.... and now is going room to room!

He is unstoppable now!!! I hope to capture more action shots soon!!

One month

Yes, Raegan is just as surprised as you are!! She is one month old....

Raegan still has quite a bit of dark hair, kind of long in the back a little! She has a dimple on her left cheek that you can see in the last picture. And her eyes although very dark, look to have a slight blue tint to them, almost a slate color. It will be interesting to see what color they turn out to be!
Raegan is still trying to figure out how to sleep, and how to try to put herself to sleep. She just gets very very angry when she is tired for now. We are still working on getting any sort of routine, and working on sleeping in her bed, instead of on mom or in her swing or car seat. It will take some time, but as we aproach six weeks old, we hope to have a better system down!
What a fun, crazy, happy, frustrating, trying, chaotic, busy, and blessed month it has been! Oh yeah, sleepless, did I mention sleepless too? Here is to many many more (well not the sleepless part)!!!
